So, where is my pen? That I may write to posterity Why they will not witness prosperity Because you and I have decided to fold our arms in stupidity. As things go wrong in the community. . So, where is my pen? That I may write! How how my people have been split by tribe How nothing is done unless there is bribe How we all sold our souls in order thrive And get lands, houses and cars to drive Ah! How corruption to our essence of life! . Get me my pen, Let me write down this day That we watched our society decay That we built walls in our hearts to keep development away. And allowed religious extremism become the order of the day. . So, where is my pen? That I may pen down my pains and worries Of how we refused to learn from histories How we sold out Justice How we drowned merit And slaughtered honesty On the alter of Federal Character and quata system. . So, can I have my pen now? Let me write in order How we preach one thing and do the other How we accepted to be citizens Yet issue certificate of origin How we preach love and practice hate Preach greatness and reward mediocrity Preach hardwork and honour thieves .
